Charming town is located on the edge of the river and Dalyan delta where has known as Calbis in ancient times. In 1998 Dalyan became an preserved area by kept its natural reserves. There is not much left from the historical buildings but there are many hotels and restaurants in town.
Generally its a daily trip location but 2 to 3 days easily can be spent. Dalyan name comes from the fishing has been done for many many years channels called Dalyan. You can get your fresh fish from Dalyan Cooperative and it is very cheap.
